An exciting and awe-inspiring glimpse into my life: movie reviews (which are replete with spoilers), Penn State football, Washington Nationals, and life here in the nation's capital. Can you handle it?

No more salisbury steak!

Okay, enough already! It's bad enough that Bernie Mac dies too young at the age of 50, but now Isaac Hayes, too? This is getting ridiculous, people! Enough with the celebrities dying!

I have to admit, it really hit me hard to learn of Bernie Mac's death, not only because he was a great actor and comedian, but because 50 is far too young for a man to die. I hadn't even known about his respiratory ailments that afflicted him until now. Watching Friday and Ocean's Eleven won't be the same after this. And I have to wonder, with Isaac Hayes now gone, who's going to voice Chef on South Park and sing about making sweet sweet love?

I thought Hayes was forced to leave South Park by his Scientology masters.

I don't believe he was forced to leave per se, but even though Hayes did depart from the show, we could always hope for him to return someday and resume the voice of Chef. With his death, however, that essentially eliminates one of the focal characters of South Park. Presuming, of course, that the creators don't hire someone else to come and voice Chef. Though it wouldn't be the same, in my book. It'd be like how someone else now voices Kermit the Frog--it just doesn't have the same impact if it's not Jim Henson's (or Isaac Hayes's) actual voice.
