Musings from an art walk
After a terribly long day at work, I meandered down to Dupont Circle for an art walk yesterday evening. We visited at least 5 galleries, where the artwork was no less than spectacular. And though the galleries themselves were surprisingly small (and with our group of 20 people, surprisingly cramped!), they all exuded a wonderful charm and elegance. (Plus, free wine at each gallery!)
So why is it the three subjects that stood out the most that evening were not art-related?
- I never thought I'd hear the words "nuns" and "boobs" in the same sentence, let alone in relation to each other.
- Smelly feet may provide more self-defense than Mace.
- Apparently the politically-correct term for someone of West Virginian heritage is "Appalachian-American".
